The aspect of the UI that I found most confusing initially was the vertical text navigation at the extreme edges of the window. This is part of the reason that the UI seems a bit cluttered at first, but it definitely has its advantages when it comes to speed and consistency.

You can visit the AfterShot Pro learning center through the Help menu, though, and their videos were able to provide some of the basic information about using the program.
